Jackie Tripp Owner of Play Dirty Canon City Texas Creek: an Interview

How how long have you been lived here? What brought you here?
Purchase my house in Texas Creek in Dec 2001.  Just got kicked out of Qwest, huge lay off in 2001.  Decided I wanted out of the metro Denver area.  Tired of the rat race, back stabbing, traffic and all the people.
What activities do you enjoy around SoCo? Since I own Play Dirty ATV Tours I love to go ATVing duhhhhh.  Also love just driving in the mountains.
Where is the one place you take visitors when they visit, why?  We take our visitors ATVing.  But not in Texas Creek Trail Systems.  We go to another trail head.  We like to try out new places too.
What is your favorite thing about living here? This is totally small town USA.  I love knowing a few people in town when I shop.  Its great when shopping in Wal-Mart to run into a few friends.  Love small town USA.  This is my place.
Do you think SoCo is a good place to (live, work, start a business, play) tell me why and more about that:
Live – you bet ya.  Get to know your neighbor and have a friend for life.  Lived on the same street in Denver for over 15 yrs and never knew my neighbors.
I have lots more friends down here than ever in Denver.
Work – we need more businesses down here.  That is why I am for Over the River Project.  This project has the opportunity to put us on the map.  This is a  world class art project that will be seen by thousands of people.  This will be our chance to get the industries & work down here.
Start a business – I’m hoping so, just started Play Dirty ATV Tours a few years ago.
Play – Can’t beat it down here.  This is God’s country.   We  mountains of Colorado and yet our snow days are live in thenot that many.
