Pioneer Days in Florence Colorado 2011

Florence Colorado known as a “Great Little Town.” It’s a town full of history and tradition. Today you will find artists galleries, eatery’s, and antique shops. A great place to spend the day or make a life.

Once part of the Colorado Gold rush, history can still be found around every corner in the form of historic buildings and houses. And part of the charm of Florence is celebrated every September in the form of the Pioneer Days parade. After the parade spend time at the “Juntique” and Pioneer Park for food and fun.

I JUST WATCHES A VIDEO OF FLORENCE’S PIONEER DAYS AND SAW A LADY SITTING IN A CONVERTIBLE. HER NAME IS SHARLENE SHAFFER. MY GRANDMOTHER’S NAME WAS ANNA SCHAEFFER. MY GREAT GRANDPARENTS BUILT A FARM/RANCH ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE RIVER ACROSS FROM SWALLOWS. IT WAS WOODRIFF, COLORADO BUT IS SHOWN ON OLD MAPS AS WOODRUFF, COLORADO. IF YOU COULD TELL ME HOW TO CONTACT HER, I WOULD LOVE TO TALK WITH HER.
