Real Estate and It’s Documents

Some  of the things people hear about real estate:

cc stuff 007

A nice couple came into my office while I was the agent on floor duty. They made the usual inquires about local properties, told me a little about what they were looking for. But the more we talked the more they told me they were concerned about the property they were selling out of the area. I told them to consult their agent, read the contract they signed and to consult an attorney if they were concerned. I’m not an attorney, I don’t play one on TV. Selling their home is a BIG deal! They need to understand what they signed and the consequences.

If you have ever purchased real estate you know these things to be true. The paper work both a buyer and seller will sign is tremendous and sometimes overwhelming. The paperwork that both the mortgage lender and the REALTOR will put in front of you has been designed to be complete, to protect everyone involved if possible. It is important that when signing these documents you know and understand what you are signing. At the moment you are signing them you aren’t anticipating problems, but these papers have legal consequences. Consult a lawyer, don’t just assume everything is going to be alright. It’s everybody’s hope that things proceed with out problems, but you never really know. You could be gambling with A LOT of money!
