When is Canon City not “Canon City”?

Canon City is the County seat of Fremont County. It’s also the largest city in Fremont County. If you live in Fremont County and you need a doctor, supplies or entertainment you most likely head to Canon City.

As a Realtor in the area I get inquiries all the time about buying a house or land or both in “Canon City” But when people are surfing the web and see a house on 35 or 40 acres in “Canon City” they might be getting the wrong idea. There are actually few large parcels of 35 to 40 acres in “Canon City” Most of what you see on the internet is outside of town. These pieces of land with or without houses have “Canon City” addresses but can be an hour away from most people think of as town.

When you contact me and want to buy a house on land in “Canon City” together let’s take the time to see exactly what you are looking at on the internet. Are the properties you are seeing on www.canonland.com or even www.realtor.com  meeting your wants and needs? Are they close to doctors, supplies and entertainment?

If you are thinking about moving to Colorful Colorado Canon City is a great option. Only 40 minutes to Fort Carson and nearby Colorado Springs and a short trip to Pueblo, Salida, Monarch, Cripple Creek and more.
